WHY ARE BLUE PENCILS SO GREAT GOSH by VCR-WOLFE WHY ARE BLUE PENCILS SO GREAT GOSH by VCR-WOLFE
DISNEY DOROTHY RETURNS WHOA!

Uhm to be honest I kind of prefer drawing old-school toony Dory rather than how they normally look on their ref sheet haha.  Idek I just feel it's more fun and wacky and expressive I guess???

That and uhh my style isn't exactly congruent with really older styles of animation so it's kind of a fun break and push and pull to what I am normally used to in terms of my personal stylistic choices.

One of the teachers in the animation department seems to like this guy too so that's pretty cool too!

:iconholyshitmuffinsplz: BLUE PENCIL LEAD IS SO FUCKING MAGICAL! I feel like all my sketches look 100% better because of it for some odd reason. What is it with blue lead that makes black lead so lame anyway?

Hehehe, I luv drawing back and forth between red and blue pencil! I use a mechanical pencil most of the time, but it's awesome that there is actual Blue and Red lead to use with it! Only drawback is that the lead breaks easy... :< and I tend to press hard on the paper when I really get into drawing something, so sometimes the lead will break on me a a few times in a row >>;;

I too really reeeaaaallly like retro-toony Dorothy too! Can't help but be reminded of Oswald and such cartoons, which are some of my favorites! The retro-toony look is just so much more fun to look when it comes to the expressions, and silly cartoon mechanics are fun as hell to draw too! <X3

For some reason I always gotta press down hard on the paper, I try to be conscious of it, since there really isn't a reason to why I feel I HAVE to >>;;
and in the end pressing too hard makes really bad ghost lines, but I can't always help myself n_n;;
